ArmySailor.com was originally thought of in 2005, and went live in October of 2005, the year I found out I would be heading to Afghanistan. I originally thought I would be heading back to Iraq, but soon learned that I would be assigned to a Civil Affairs Battalion in Afghanistan, an assignment that would change my life forever.

Since that time I have returned to the normal life of a Sailor in the U.S. Navy, but I have been forever changed in many ways by my experiences in Afghanistan, and from spending so much time training and working with the Army.

I continue to update this site, albeit less often, expressing my opinions about current world events as they relate to the Military, and some of what is going on in my own life & career. With that in mind, it must be said, THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL U.S. GOVERNMENT WEBSITE!!! The views expressed herein are mine, and mine alone. The views expressed on this site are in no way intended to represent the views of the U.S. Government, the Department of Defense or the U.S. Navy. This site is merely the work of an individual Sailor exercising his First Amendment right.
